Company Background

Quality Process Solutions Pty Ltd was formed in March 2007 to provide process engineering solutions to the Australian mining industry. QPS offers a range of services including process plant and circuit design, technical due diligence assessment, coal quality and coal resource evaluations, and contract metallurgical services.

Darren Mathewson – Principal Process Engineer

The principal, Darren Mathewson, has over 24 years of experience in mineral processing and coal preparation including plant design, commissioning and operations, as well as in research and equipment sales. He has worked extensively in NSW and QLD as well as overseas. Darren has a Bachelor Degree in Minerals Process Engineering (1st Class Honours) from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Southern Queensland. Darren is a former Publications Director of the Australian Coal Preparation Society. He was the Technical Chairman and Editor for the 2008 National Conference and Editor for the 2012 National Conference. Darren is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, American Coal Preparation Society and the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration.

Dan Eschebach – Process Engineer

Dan has worked in the coal industry since 2008 and has Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) and Bachelor of Science Degrees from The University of Newcastle. Daniel has experience in the preparation of technical documents through the design phase of projects and experience in CHPP feasibility, design and optimisation studies which are enhanced by plant operation experience. He has worked in NSW and QLD minesites, performed equipment performance audits, has plant commissioning experience and has a working knowledge of coal laboratory operations.
