Due Diligence and Peer Reviews
QPS Services
Due diligence review is a common risk management tool for major business decisions. Increasing focus on corporate governance within the business environment makes due diligence increasingly necessary.
Process plant technical due diligence review typically covers areas of:
- Metallurgical test work;
- Mass balances;
- Plant flowsheet;
- Process design;
- Recovery estimates; and
- Comparison to standard industry practice.
QPS provides independent, technical due diligence services, from project feasibility through to existing operations.
Our due diligence reviews follow a systematic process to ensure all key aspects of the investment opportunity are assessed in relation to completeness and validity of data, misrepresentations, risks and opportunities. Reviews can be conducted for entire coal and minerals processing plants or for parts of an operation. We test your engineering assumptions, design methods and approach to verify the design of your plant. Verification is undertaken via a comprehensive review of specifications, reports, calculations, drawings and selected suppliers and contractors.
Our reviews will:
- Assess the physical and technical feasibility of a plant;
- Reduce the uncertainty about the planned timeline; and
- Evaluate the plant capital and operating costs.
